The Maine Seacoast Mission
Service Immersion Experience
provides a captivating personal
growth opportunity for collegians
and alumnae. Fifteen Sigma
Kappas participated in the
Mission’s home repair, community
clean–up, food security and
Christmas programs in June 2024.
Working side-by-side, they
provided direct service, learned
about the challenges of the
community, developed
connections and created
memories they will carry with
them for the rest of their lives.
attendee is offered up to a $500
grant to fund a philanthropic
endeavor in her own community.
Taking what they have learned
from their time at the Mission,
they are able to address their
community’s unique needs.
This experience doesn’t stop once
attendees are home. Each
